To turn off VPN on your Verizon Smart Family account, follow these steps:

1. Open the Verizon Smart Family app.
2. Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Tap Account Details.
4. Tap the VPN switch to turn it off.

What is Verizon Smart Family?

Verizon Smart Family is a service that helps you manage how your family uses Internet-connected devices. You can set limits on how much time your kids spend online and what kinds of content they can access. You can also see where they are, so you know they’re safe. If you’re a Verizon customer, you can add Smart Family to your account for $5/month.

How to turn off the VPN

Open the Verizon Smart Family app. Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner of the main screen. Select Devices from the menu. If you have more than one profile on your account, select the profile that you want to remove the VPN from. If you only have one profile, you will be taken to the device list automatically.

For Android Devices

From the Smart Family dashboard, select Devices.

Select the device you want to edit.

Turn off Share my location.

From thevpnmgr app on your device, select Disconnect.

For Apple Devices

If you need to turn off your VPN for any reason, follow the steps below. Note that this will only disable the VPN for your current device; if you want to disable it for all devices, you’ll need to do so from the Verizon Smart Family app.

1. Open the Settings app on your device.
2. Tap VPN.
3. If you see a profile for Verizon Smart Family, tap it and then tap Disconnect.

How to cancel the subscription

If you decide Verizon Smart Family isn’t the right fit for your family, you can cancel your subscription at any time. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner of the main dashboard.
2. Select Billing & Payment.
3. Tap Cancel Plan.
4. Confirm you want to cancel by tapping Cancel my plan again.
